What Shouldnt I feed My Dog?

Dogs, especially puppies, are naturally curious creatures and many will "eat anything" but what should you avoid feeding your dog?

Table scraps are usually loaded with fat and should not be given to any dog. The best diet for your dog is home-made foods that are recommended by your veterinarian or a high-quality dog food.

Keep your dog away cleaners, polishers, and all household chemicals. House-plants should also be out of your dog's reach. Several plants can make your pet sick, severely ill, or even lead to death.

Below is a list of some of the foods that should not be given to your dog:

  • Alcoholic beverages
  • caffeinated foods and drinks such as coffee & tea
  • chocolate.
  • Dairy products such as milk and cheese.
  • Raw fish and raw eggs.
  • Raisins and grapes.
  • Vegetables such as mushroom, onions and potatoes.

Rubbish – Keep bins tightly closed both inside and outside your house. Curious dogs can often knock bins over and go foraging for scraps.
